Wow...what a weekend!! Crazy just doesn't even begin to cover it...we arrived in Melville a little later than normal this past Friday due to a few vehicle related problems. However, not even van trouble could stop us from doin' our Rock and Roll Duty. We got loaded in and set up in record time and had time to spare before soundcheck. The last time we were in Melville (almost a year ago to the week), the fans came out and partied like there was no tomorrow! This time, being that it was so close to the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year)...it truly felt like there WAS no tomorrow...we partied with the crazy people of Melville for two days straight with no looking back.
The graceful owners, Harry and Carol, extended a welcome hand for our second time at the King George and we met a boatload of new friends, and hooked up with some old ones...It's too bad that we arrived on the same weekend as Kyle Hickie's annual farm party near Grayson, otherwise we could've had a few new friends to initiate, Shattered-style. We'd like to send out a big'hell yeah' to the people that hung out till the bitter end in the wake of Melville's rain induced state of emergency - Ainsley, Wanda, John, Denise and Alli-cat (Don't worry we won't tell Dennis...hehe). I'm sure there were more, but there was plenty of tequila floatin' around...
Until we meet again, Melville...stay dry and stay rockin'!!!

Last Tuesday was the first show that we played after Stu's tragic car accident. It was strange to play on a Tuesday, and especially strange to play that show knowing that Stu was laying in a hospital in Regina completely unaware of his surroundings, let alone himself. We managed to get through it though with the help of and old friend, former Shattered guitar player, Brett Johnstone. After the accident, he offered to help out in any way possible, and because the show was only 9 days away when we found out about the accident, we enlisted his help for the next couple shows until we figure out how this will affect Shattered as a group.
The gig itself had all kinds of potential to be a rockin' good time, but for some reason there just didn't seem to be any vibe that night. The Weyburn Red Wings had handily defeated the tournament favorite Camrose Kodiaks, so we figured that the fans would be locked in for a night of rowdiness, but still there was no vibe. We attribute some of the problem to the fact that all the fluorescent lights were left on in the arena, leaving people with the 'high school dance' scenario that no one would come up and dance while tht lights were on. We did manage to get a few people up to the front and have some fun with us, and the crowd was appreciative with various whoops and yells, but perhaps it just wasn't a dancin' crowd. And after all...it was a Tuesday. Until next time, keep giv'en 'er!!

I know, I know...everyone is asking how come there's been no updates or photos posted from the last couple of shows...the fact of the matter is that life has been a busy game since the new year started. We've been working on new songs to add to the live show, and one of our members (who will remain fat, I mean "nameless") has decided to take some schooling on how to wire stuff...maybe now we'll have at least one guy in the band that's ed-ja-mu-cated...
No, in all seriousness, we had such a great time in Moose Jaw celebrating New Year's Eve...we'd like to thank our legions of fans who made the trip from whereever they came from...you helped to pack the Brunswick Hotel and make a fitting end to 2004, and a rockin' start to 2005! Fast forward two weeks to the show at the Derrick Motor Hotel - we weren't plauged with feedback problems this time, and the 130+ that were in attendance rocked and rolled into the early morning hours to the classic songs they're come to enjoy over the last 20-30 years. 2005 is shaping up to be quite busy as well...keep watching the 'Live Dates' page for Shattered when they come to a place near you...remember...if you haven't been 'Shattered', you haven't truly lived...until next time - Peace and peaches!

Well, well, well...it's been a great year...2004 saw Shattered have it's busiest year on record with things looking good going into 2005...we've made a ton of new friends, played some great clubs and got to party with some of the craziest people that we've ever met! Let's back up a few weeks...we started off the month playing for the SPC Xmas party and then headed West to play in Medicine Hat again for the rockers at the Royal Hotel. Not only were they good times, but we met a few more people and welcomed them to the ever-growing Shattered fanbase.
If you've been watching the messageboard there's been some interesting activity (which has since died down). It seems that there is a somehwat disgruntled person who goes by 'Mister X' that is less then pleased with the members of Shattered. We have to yet to determine the identity of Mister X...but you know who you are...we WILL find you...
Thanks to all who supported us in 2004...we'll see you in '05! ROCK LIVES!!!!

It's official...Moose Jaw is the greatest city on Earth!!! I'm not sure if it's the air, the water, or the women there but let me say this...Moose Jaw fans are the greatest! Things were a little slow Friday night, but man after the show did we party with some crazy fans...(oh and the show was awesome, too!) Not that we advocate staying up partying until 7:30 in the morning, but with a full moon out this time we were in Moose Jaw, something just seemed reeeeaaallly right! Special thanks to Ron, Ken, Ted, Spindly, Shea, Tiffany, Anna, Amy and Crystal...for making our wind down after the show much more enjoyable than four guys sitting in a blue room watching TV. Saturday we had a special visit from some of our Estevan friends...very cool to see them travel the distance to see the show...the crowd was a little rowdier on Saturday, but we managed to provide only the best in rock and roll for them...We'll be back in 5 weeks to rock y'all into the New Year...until then...keep your stick on the ice...
P.S. - Get Well Ivan...we wanna see you at the New Year's show!

What's up rockers! Just wanted to check in and say that even though we're off for a few weeks, we'll still be rockin...we're putting together a few new songs for the next few gigs, and working on some other things TBA. We had a blast in Shaunavon...Friday night there was a rumour that over $1000 worth or whiskey was sold...that would explain the absolute madness in the bar most of the evening...We had such a blast in Shaunavon, as we always do...even Saturday when we thought it would be less than packed due to the two weddings in the area, the die-hards came out, strapped themselves in, and came along on a three hour tour we like to call "The Rock Show"...party included...thanks again to Barb, Vicki, Donna and Holly for making our weekend a great time...from the road...this is Shattered...out for now...

Hey there Rock and Roll children!!! It seems like forever since we've had anything to say here, but fear not, there's quite a bit going on behind the scenes in the Shattered corner of the world. We've been busy writing some new tunes, learning some old tunes, and just flat out partyin'...The show last Saturday at the Derrick Motor Hotel was absolutely amazing! We arrived about an hour before the gig to hang out with our fellow fans, and we were surprised to see that the bar was at capacity already and there were lineups to get in at both entrances. All we can say is YOU GUYS ROCK! To see each and every one of you there rocking with us gave us all warm fuzzy feelings inside (and not the kind you get after you've had too much to drink)! It wouldn't have been a show at the Double 'D' (our pet name for the Cedar Lounge Bar) without the baring of some breasts...special thanks to Alison who 'encouraged' us to play a few more songs at the end of the night... We had a great time...you never know, we may be back at the Double 'D' sooner than you think...our next stop is over Thanksgiving in Shaunavon...lookout...cause we're a-comin...

Well, we're back from our second venture out of province and we have only good things to report!! Seems that Medicine Hat, AB is a great party town, but that's what we kinda figured. We rolled in and got set up in the hotel, which incidentally is quite a rockin' place...after we had a bite to eat we went back for soundcheck and shortly after that we started to Rock the Royal! We met a lot of interesting people this past weekend, made some new friends, and hosted our first afternoon Jam Session. Thanks to all the jammers that came up and helped us out on Saturday afternoon, especially Ron the saxophone player...killer stuff, man!
A big ROCK ON to Katy, Suzanne, Candace and the rest of the staff at the Royal for making us feel at home. We look forward to seeing you again real soon! Keep on keepin' on...

God must love Rock Music. That's the conclusion that we've come to after playing Rock 'N' The Lot on the 7th of August. It was a rainy, bleak, dreary day and the threat of rain almost kept us off the stage. However, about half an hour before we were scheduled to go on stage, the rain stopped and we proceeded to Rock the Lot! For the next four hours, the man upstairs must have enjoyed what was going on, cause ten minutes after we had finished loading up Mulva with our precious cargo the rain started all over again.
Special thanks to Brenda and all the staff and volunteers that made the day go smoothly.
Earlier in the day on Saturday, Smitty's sponsored a "Male swimsuit competition" and, of course, we were asked to participate...Stu, Brad and JD entered themselves into the competition...only one could reign surpreme...and that man was none other than Stu! Yes, that's right folks, our beloved bass player took home the coveted title of "Mr. Rockin The Lot 2004", earning a victory for large men everywhere. Photos will be up soon...see you on the road...

People said that it couldn't be done. Well it did and it was a raging success. What are we talking about you might ask? Well the answer is, the first annual "Rockin the Fields of Minnedosa" (RFM)! Three days of rock, partying and people brought together on the shores of Lake Minnedosa in beautiful Southwest Manitoba! Shattered was invited to take part in this festival and once we got there we knew it was gonna be a party!! We played early Friday evening just in time to get the crowd pumped up for the Friday evening headliner - none other than FIST!! Ron and the boys put on a great show, pounding out classics like "Thunder in Rock" and "Leather and Lace".
Saturday and Sunday we had the opportunity to a number of great bands from the Brandon, MB, area - most notably DEZL and F.U.G.R. We got to hang and party with some of them over the course of the weekend - what a great bunch of guys...hope to see you guys again real soon! Not to mention that we got to see Chilliwack put on an absolutely flawless set - Bill Henderson and the boys still rock like the good ol' days!!
Hoewever, the highlight of our weekend was probably the fact that we were somewhat successfully able to steal the Parlor Trixx banner from the main stage after they had left it there after their set on Saturday. We noticed it had been left up while Jerry Doucette was playing so we thought, "Hmmm...we should go and get that." So we did. Under the cover of darkness and some fast talking backstage and we were off with said banner. Here's where it falls apart...We had big plans to do something with the banner the next day while the PT boys were on stage at 2:30, but while we were basking in the glow of our caper, Sean and Rick from Parlor Trixx showed up at the campsite for a drink unexpectedly and we were caught! Special thanks to the guys for taking everything so well...we truly meant no harm...just a little Rockfest fun, that's all...
Until next time, we will be spreading the gospel of Rock and Roll while we travel down the Highway to Hell...Rock On!!!

Question:   What goes better than anything with rock and roll??
Answer: Naked girls that dance for money!!!
That was pretty much our weekend in Brooks, AB! It was our first gig outside the boundaries of good 'ol Saskatchewan, and man, did it kick ass. We came, we saw, we drank, we watched the dancers, and then to top it all off we got to rock after that, if that wasn't enough excitement for one day. Saturday came and we got to do it all over again. A huge thank you goes out to the staff at the Oxford Hotel (Shirley and Fran), our waitresses Tace and Heather for keeping us from getting thirsty, and to the dancers Katrina Malone and Bella Bond for entertaining us the best way they know how. We even got to see and old friend of the band, Neil Fenske, who was across the street at the other hotel with his new band Liza Hendrix.
From the road, this is Shattered -- over and out

Life in Shattered-ville is great these days. We played Melville last weekend and realized that for a small town, this place really knows how to party. After a great show on Friday, we met a great guy named Kyle who offered to have a kickin' after-bar party. A couple of the band members showed up to partake in the festivities and, needless to say, saw the sun come up! The next day was a little rough, but we managed to make it through. We toured around the town, hit the library (no, really we did), got pulled over by the cops, and hung out at the local arcade/pool hall. Goooood times...
Saturday night was great too, as we had some new friends in the crowd to make us feel more at home. Extra special thanks to Tyla from Stolen Moments Portait Studio in Esterhazy, SK for coming down and taking some great pictures for us. We had a great time in Melville and Harry and the staff at the K.G. Hotel sure know how to make you feel right at home. The only thing that would've been better is if the Flames would have won the cup in Calgary on Saturday. Rock on, and see you soon...!

We kinda know what it's like to be on tour, if you could call it that...hehe - Over the course of two weeks, we managed to get into Moose Jaw, Shaunavon and a major kick-ass cabaret at West End, SK, on the shores of Round Lake. Lets's start at the beginning, shall we?
Moose Jaw was our first show as a four-piece, since our lead guitar player, Brett, announced his departure from the band. We came, we saw, we rocked, we partied, we ate Burger King, and then we rocked some more! A few old friends came out to see the show (Ryan, Erin, Crystal, Michelle) and we managed to find an old T.V. and smash it up in true rock band style. (** We should note that this "T.V." was already headed for the nearest dumpster, anyway. Shattered does not endorse the mindless destruction of innocent televisions. **) We'll see you in September, Moose Jaw!
Over May Long weekend we headed off in the pouring rain to Shaunavon. It was our first time to Shaunavon and we gotta say the people there are more than friendly. Thanks to the members of Whitemud for partying us after the show on Saturday with us. Also, HUGE thank you goes out to Barb, Amanda and the rest of the staff at the Shaunavon Hotel for taking good care of us, even if Stu and J.D. did get their asses whooped playing cribbage with some of the local townsfolk.
Sunday morning brought about the six hour drive to Round Lake. Still pouring rain, we made it in good time to find that the resort becomes party central on the Sunday of May Long Weekend. We felt right at home, and jumped into the party with both feet before, during and after the show. Cabin #4 was rockin' until about 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning, and then came the time to head home. A big Shattered 'Rock On' goes out to Willy K. and everyone that came to party with us. Sadly, this was our first show with casualties - J.D. fell off the stage during the post show clean-up and has some major road rash on his left arm and leg. Hey - it wouldn't be rock and roll with out a little bit of blood, right?!? Here's hoping to see everyone at Round Lake very, very soon!

What a weekend! If there was ever a more rockin' weekend is was this past one. Not only did most of the guys travel up to Saskatoon to see Godsmack and Metallica, but the post-show party at the Roxy downtown had Canadian legends April Wine there on Friday night and Canada's tribute to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest - Tyrant there on Saturday night. It was truly amazing to see the range of talent covered off in the span of two days. The Godsmack/Metallica show was absolutely amazing - each group put on a top notch performance, each masters of their respective musical domain.
To see a band like Metallica perform old classics like 'Seek and Destroy' and 'Creeping Death' just like it was back in the good 'ol days brought feelings out of me that renewed my faith that hard rock and heavy metal has NOT died. To top it off, Tyrant (from Edmonton) put on a show that everyone at the Roxy won't soon forget. In costume for each of the Priest and Maiden sets, vocalist Mike Shaw blazed through renditions of classic songs such as 'The Ripper', 'Painkiller', 'Aces High', 'Fear of the Dark' and many more to a truly all-metal audience of guys and girls alike. In my opinion, this may be the closest thing to actually seeing either Priest or Maiden and if they ever roll through your town - drop what you're doing and get your ass down to the show.
A few good friends of ours were lucky enough to get drawn for Meet & Greet passes for the Metallica show. Here's some photos of Chris (who once played bass guitar with Cory and J.D) and Trevor (prominent Radio personality in Prince Albert, SK) mugging with the guys from Metallica. Also, here's a shot of Cory and J.D. with Brian Greenway of April Wine. Special thanks to Brian for hanging out for a bit after the show at the Roxy.

Holy F&^k...where do we begin - Okay let's start with the fact that up until now we've never played JD's in Regina. Usually three night shows have a tendency to take it's toll on a body, but not this time...from the moment we got onstage Thursday until the final notes of Saturday, we realized one thing - JD's is ALL about the party!! Even with some minor sound production issues on Thursday, we managed to get the crowd of over 400 people all three nights whipped up into a rock and roll frenzy! There were plenty of beautiful women (as you can see in the photos) and plenty of free-flowing liquor to strip away any and all inhibitions. Special thanks to Megan for showing us the proper way to execute the "egg-shaker lip-lock swap"...see you soon!!
Mar. 17, 2004
What a crazy week we had last week - we decided to pack up all the gear and do a surprise show at Gibby's Pub right here in Estevan last Saturday! Everyone that stopped in (and there were quite a few) got treated to the rockin-est show ever! The next day, J.D. had tickets to see Thornley, Default and Nickelback in Regina again. From all reports this concert kicked more ass than the last time they were in town. More pyro, longer, different setlist, and great opening bands. (The new Thornley comes out May 18th). Our next stop is JD's in Regina in a couple weeks, so hopefully we'll see some familiar faces there that we can share a few drinks with...keep on keepin' on...
Feb. 16, 2004
Well, well, well...2004 is upon us and despite a couple of unfortunate cancellations we managed to get back to Swift Current over the Valentine's Day weekend. It was Brad's first live show since his hernia operation and we rocked like we've never rocked before. We saw some old faces from last September (Crystal, Earl) and made some new fans (Anna, Courtney, Chelsea, Tracy, Kelly, Cam, FasGas girl), to name a few...Both nights everyone was rockin' till the wee hours of the weekend...and then we proceeded to have a little fun of our own...but that's a tale for another time...we'll be back soon, so keep watching for Mulva when we pull in to administer another lethal dose of ROCK!!...until then...
Feb. 1, 2004
Nickelback ROCKS! J.D., Cory and Brad got three of the tickets for the sold-out Regina date for Nickelback, Trapt and Three Days Grace. In a word, the show was UNBELIEVABLE...true showmanship, pyro, fire...everything that embodies a great rock show. Brad and J.D. were lucky enough to hit the Trapt in-store appearance at A&B Sound and got their picture taken with the guys - their opening set, although way too short, kicked major ass...the energy they have onstage is killer...After many beer were consumed both at and after the concert we made it back to Estevan with a renewed sense that Rock music is alive and well once again...
Dec. 18, 2003
Well...we're back from the Paddock and just in time for Christmas, too. We had a rockin' good time in Regina, even though we weren't used to doing a Saturday/Sunday show it still was wicked!...being that Brad was unable to drum due to his hernia surgery, we had an old friend of ours, Cory Mazurek (from Red Deer, AB) drive the distance to join us behind the kit...he did a fantastic job on such short notice and our thanks goes out to him for making the trip...we painted the city red, white and rock and everyone that came out to see the Paddock show had a blast...Snoop Dogg was in town at the Agridome for a show on the 14th, but that didn't stop us from Rockin' the 'Dock...see you in the New Year and keep your fists in the air...rock lives...
Nov. 30, 2003
A lot has gone on in the last month - where to begin...Halloween in Assiniboia at the Franklin was an absolute blast! On Friday we had the opportunity to open up for The Dixie Chicklets as they were passing through on their Western Canadian leg of their tour. Some of us never made the night, but that just goes to show that the Assiniboia crew definitely knows how to party.
It was also in Assiniboia that we found out that our beloved drummer Brad will have to undergo surgery to repair a drumming-induced hernia, if that's even possible. J.D. has offered to sit behind the kit for rehearsals and for the next couple gigs until Brad heals up. Keep watching the news for updates...our thoughts are with Brad as he awaits beautiful nurses with warm hands touching his furry private parts.
Oct. 24, 2003
Shattered wants to send out a special thanks to all those who came out to see the show at the Gaslight Saloon, espceially Clayton and the pub crawl that invaded the bar for two hours and drank their fill. After we got done loading Mulva that night it was time to try and find the party, but everyone had left the bar and we had to settle for going back to the hotel and partying by ourselves...oh well there's always next time...
Sept.22, 2003
Man, what can we say about Swift Current...you guys kick ass!! We made a pile of new fans, rocked the house on both nights and partied till the break of dawn the entire time. We're looking forward to coming back real soon! Until next time...
June 7, 2003
We came, we saw, we rocked Lampman...we had a great time at the 2nd annual Band Jam and the Cabaret!! Thanks to all the fans that came out to support us, including the baseball teams from North Dakota (The Beavers)!!   ...On a side note, Cory, J.D., Brad and Stu are heading to Winnipeg to see Ozzy on Sunday June 8 and we're taking all kinds of cameras, so we may have a page up with some photos from the show...keep watching...
May 29, 2003
The T&T Rods Show and Shine was a raging success! The weather was hot, the vehicles were hot and the girls decked out in their summer clothes were even hotter!! Thanks to Tim and Tony for having us and here's to seeing you all again next year!
May 7, 2003
A huge ROCK ON goes out to all our fans that came out to see us at The Beef on Apr. 25/26. We always enjoy rockin' the hometown crowd at the Beef! Thanks to Jeff, Dan and the Beef staff for keeping us in the party mood all weekend!! We'll see you again real soon!
April 14, 2003
What can we say about Yorkton? You guys f%$#ing rock SO hard! Even though we had a slight malfunction at the junction with the power distribution at the Friday night show, you guys stayed and rocked with us till the bitter end!! A big ROCK ON goes out to Lee Thomas and 94.1 The Fox FM for their radio interview and coverage over the weekend! A special thanks goes out to Jeff and the staff at Holly's for their speedy repair work and great attitudes. Thanks also to the staff at BP's Lounge for putting up with us every day and partying with us afterwards. (You know who you are...)
January 27, 2003
Just a quick note of thanks to all the people that came out and had fun with us in Moose Jaw at the Brunswick Hotel this past weekend. We look forward to coming back again real soon. Keep rockin'!
